Public Contributions

A Note on Contributions

There are endless avenues for improving and expanding Sefaria. Therefore, we have to select our projects carefully, whether we're fixing a bug or developing a new feature. Our priorities are guided by both Sefaria's long-term organizational vision and user research.

As a result, we rarely prioritize public code contributions, as they are not aligned with Sefaria's product pipeline. That being said, we appreciate feature requests and bug reports and are always happy to hear suggestions for how we can improve our product.

Are you looking to build a feature that supports Torah study? If so, we highly encourage you to build a Powered by Sefaria project rather than submitting a PR to our repository. You can see a full list of projects built by the community and powered by our technology and data here.

Thank you for your understanding and support!
